The song “Stand” by the Rascal Flatts is about someone that is telling that they are close with not to give up and “keep holding on.” This song uses many similes He tells this special person that their life is “like a novel with the end ripped out” meaning that they get to decide their own future. He also says that “You feel like a candle in a hurricane. Just like a picture with a broken frame. Alone and helpless like you've lost your fight, but you'll be alright” to let them know that whenever they feel insignificant or unloved that they are and they get to decide their destiny.
